Toilet Paper

In a recent post I used the term "toilet paper" to describe how Hezbollah regards its "understanding" with Aoun.

I always got a chuckle whenever I heard Aoun defend the "understanding" on the ground that it "Lebanonized" Hezbollah and the function of its weapons so that now, according to the geniuszz general, they're no longer tied to broader regional objectives, such as the "liberation of Palestine" and the like.

Uh huh. Behold the latest statement by Hezbollah's nice and "Lebanonized" Naim Qasem, and think "toilet paper":

We are proud to be allies of Iran of Islam, and if some are proud of their relationship with America, we tell them with America there are no relations, only tools... We will remain rejectionist resisters until the Palestinian people restore their rights and land in full. (Emphasis mine.)

Yeah, but here's the thing: Aoun has "Lebanonized" Iran and Hamas too so no problemo.

Toilet paper anyone?
